Crystal is one of the most strong minded individuals I’ve ever met. She knows what’s best for her and her future and always has that in mind. She has a deep, soulful passion for stones—not just for their beauty, but for the stories and energies they carry. To her, each stone is more than just a piece of the earth; it’s a symbol of something greater—healing, strength, clarity, or protection.
Watching her get ready for this new chapter has been nothing short of inspiring. From late-night cravings to endless baby prep, she's handled everything with love, strength, and a glow that’s more than just pregnancy. I already know she’s going to be an incredible mom—because she’s already showing so much love, patience, and care for this little life we’ve created together.
Crystal is more than just my human—she is my world. She brings out the best in me, challenges me, believes in me, and loves me in a way that makes me want to rise to every occasion. She makes me into the man I want to be—not by asking, but simply by being who she is: strong, thoughtful, grounded, and full of a quiet kind of magic that draws everyone in.
Her preparation for motherhood has only deepened everything I feel for her. Her love for this child is already powerful and pure, and I know she will be the heart of our home—the one who teaches us to love deeply, live intentionally, and find meaning even in the smallest things... just like she does with the stones she cherishes, each one carrying energy, purpose, and light.
I’m forever grateful for the day I asked her if she wanted to go to the Bahamas for a good cause—and, without hesitation, she said yes. That same night, we crossed by boat, not fully knowing what we were getting ourselves into. Little did she know she’d be stuck with my snoring for two extra nights, thanks to storms that wouldn’t let us leave. But through it all, we stuck it out—side by side, helping get those paddlers across the ocean, doing something bigger than ourselves.
That trip showed me something I already knew deep down: we’re a team. No matter the storm, no matter the unexpected turns, we ride it out together. And just like we did on that journey, we’ll take on this next chapter—parenthood—with love, determination, and a whole lot of laughter. Because that’s what family is: facing whatever comes our way, together, and coming out stronger every time.

The Future Girl Dad of Our Dreams (and Love of My Life)
If you haven’t had the pleasure of knowing Erik yet, let me introduce you to the man who stole my heart, keeps it safe, and now shares it with the tiny girl growing in my belly.
Erik is, quite simply, the best person I know. He’s the kind of man who makes everyday life feel effortless—because he works hard, loves harder, and somehow still manages to make me laugh on the days I may be cranky. We were friends for years before dating, and when we took that leap, I finally understood the phrase, “When you know, you know.”
He's a car guy through and through—a technician so skilled he could probably rebuild an engine with his eyes closed and a baby on his hip. His passion for drift racing is matched only by his uncanny ability to fix anything, drive the heck out of any vehicle on land or water, and look good doing it. Pair that with his compassionate heart and love for adventure, and you get to our very first one-on-one hangout: a boat trip to the Bahamas for a charity event—through rough seas, no less. I mean, come on. A one night trip turned into three nights stranded in the Caribbean and we loved every moment of it. If that’s not fate, I don’t know what is.
What makes Erik exceptional isn’t just what he does, but who he is. He’s grounded, honest, wildly intelligent, and confidently himself. We see eye to eye on all the things that matter: integrity, fun, hard work, loyalty and knowing when something is important and when to let another thing go. We don’t just love each other—we get each other.
Now, as we get ready to welcome our daughter into the world, I find myself endlessly grateful to be doing this with him. He’s been there every step of the way—at every doctor’s appointment and making sure I’m fed, hydrated, vitamin’d, and as comfortable as possible, even when that’s a tall order. He’s held me up through the hard days and cheered me on through the good ones. He is my constant. My calm. The only person I could imagine walking this path with.
And our daughter? She hit the jackpot. She gets a dad who’s smart, skilled, funny, thoughtful, dependable—and who will, no doubt, teach her to trust herself, speak her mind, and maybe even drift a little someday (safely, of course). We’re beyond lucky to have him.
